Arpit Jain on completing 15 years with SKETS Studio

SKETS Studio recently celebrated Arpit Jain’s 15-year anniversary with the organization. Arpit Jain, one of the Hospitality CAD Studio Directors, has been an integral part of SKETS’ journey, contributing immensely to SKETS’ growth and success.

From a Young Aspirant to a Seasoned Professional

Arpit Jain completed his schooling in Ghaziabad and eventually developed his passion for architecture at an early age and pursued his diploma in Architecture from Rao Tula Ram College, University of Delhi. He started his career in the architecture sector in 2007 when he was only 18 years old. He worked at a few other organizations before joining SKETS Studio in 2008 when the company had a modest strength of 30-35 employees.

Arpit joined SKETS as a retail designer under the guidance of Mohd. Nadeem Khan and worked with a team of eight members. He soon transitioned into hospitality as SKETS expanded its portfolio and clientele. Arpit says that his career growth has been on an exponentially upwards trajectory since he joined SKETS, and he never looked back.

In 2015, Arpit was promoted to the position of Studio Manager for Hospitality and has expanded the team from 15 to 60 members over the years. He has worked on some of the most iconic projects in the US-based hotel industry, as well as numerous residential projects across the globe. He has also faced many challenges during his career, such as the 2008 recession and the Covid-19 pandemic, but he has always maintained his productivity and positivity.

Leadership, Mentorship, and Management

Arpit attributes his success to his team, who have always been supportive and cooperative during the times when the projects demanded long hours and dedication. He also praises his team for adapting to the WFH model during the pandemic and delivering quality work despite the difficulties.

Arpit’s leadership style is both empowering and supportive. He encourages his team to solve problems and face challenges on their own while being available to assist them whenever they need him. He says that this helps his team to be confident and reliable in their output.

Arpit also acknowledges the role of the SKETS Board of Directors in mentoring him throughout his career. He says that he has learned a lot from them about various aspects of project management, client communication, resource management, and quality maintenance. He says that he is grateful for their guidance and encouragement.

“Nimisha Ma’am taught me how to manage clients, communicate with them, and keep the relationship flowing. I thank Neeraj Sir for teaching me about resource management, and Shamit Sir for teaching me about quality maintenance, scheduling, and project management. Sanjeev Sir and Divya Ma’am mentored me during my early years at SKETS and in the hospitality industry. I don’t think this perfect combination of nurturing and mentorship is easy to find elsewhere.”Arpit Jain, Studio Director – Hospitality

Looking Forward to More Years of Growth

Arpit has always found his career at SKETS to be extremely fulfilling. He says that he loves working at SKETS because it gives him ample opportunities to learn, grow, and excel. SKETS would be expanding in numerous verticals going forward, and Arpit has pledged to be among the organization’s flagbearers and contribute to its vision & mission for years to come.

SKETS is proud to have Arpit as a part of the organization and congratulates him on his 15th work anniversary. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to many more years of collaboration and excellence.
