SKETS Recently Executed Two Challenging Vectorworks projects for a London Client
Recently, SKETS executed two projects for a client in the UK, using Vectorworks. The projects were meticulously executed by a team of experts utilizing a pre-initiation strategy and coordination with the client.
Scope & Execution
The first of the two projects involved the development of a Reflective Ceiling (RC) Plan and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with 3D modeling for the public areas of a commercial building, located in London. The demands of the client’s project were intricate, requiring detailed 3D models to visualize and plan the infrastructure.
The second project required a detailed ‘Plan setup,’ focusing on establishing the groundwork for the design execution. Though it may seem straightforward, this task demanded meticulous attention to ensure that all subsequent design and construction phases would proceed smoothly.
Challenges & Solutions
To meet the client’s project needs, the team came across challenges i.e. cautious planning to ensure safety, accessibility, and efficient space utilization. The team had to be observatory in their planning to avoid potential issues that could arise during construction and operation.
Another concern was to coordinate between different systems—mechanical, electrical, and plumbing—while adhering to the stringent building codes and regulations in London. This required meticulous attention to detail, as any discrepancies could lead to costly revisions or delays.
To address these challenges, SKETS leveraged its extensive experience in commercial projects and utilized Vectorworks for its advanced 3D modeling capabilities. By creating detailed and accurate 3D models, we were able to visualize the RC Plan and MEP systems effectively. This approach allowed us to detect and resolve potential conflicts early in the process, streamlining the design and ensuring that all elements were precisely coordinated and integrated.
