Exploring SKETS Studio's Flexible Project Execution Models: Tailored Solutions for Client Success

With 19 years of experience in the industry, SKETS Studio has established itself as a leader in the BIM consultancy and Design Documentation services, acting as a one stop solution for our clients, ranging from different phases of a project starting from concept renderings to structures, architecture, interiors and MEPF with the capability to plug in BIM at all these stages.

Since inception, SKETS has worked with top design and architecture firms and delivered more than 2000 large scale projects across 32+ countries around the world. This includes iconic projects, ultra-luxurious cruise ships, 7-star hotels, villas, palaces alongside thousands of rollouts, guestrooms, restaurants, hospitals, malls, institutional buildings and bars. This versatility of projects with different scope of work and complexities needs dedicated working model to meet the needs of our clients.

To effectively manage the complexities of project execution, we have developed three structured and thoughtfully designed delivery models, each aimed at addressing specific client requirements.

These execution models—Project-Based Model, Timesheet Model, and Dedicated Studio Model— offer adaptable solutions designed to help our clients tackle challenges related to time, cost, resources, and project scope.

Challenges Faced by Global Architecture and Design Firms

  1. Time Constraints:
Completing projects within tight deadlines can be difficult due to the complexity of tasks, limited resources, and other external factors. To address these challenges, this requires efficient scheduling, resource management, and regular progress monitoring to stay on track.
  2. Cost Limitations:
Budget constraints are often a concern, especially with complex projects. Balancing quality and budget within a tight timeline can put pressure on firms to use their resources effectively.
  3. Scope Boundaries:
Clearly defining the project’s scope is crucial for ensuring that objectives and deliverables align with client expectations. For some large projects, the absolute scope is sometimes unclear and may need additions, augmentations and/or altercations with the progress in the design and/or addition of stakeholders.

How SKETS' Project Delivery Models Address These Challenges

At SKETS Studio, we recognized the common challenges faced by our clients in the industry, and to tackle them, SKETS created tailored solutions for smoother project delivery. To address these issues, SKETS developed three flexible execution models, each designed to meet specific needs and the nature of a project/client. To date, these models are fruitfully serving our clients, giving them flexibility and options to choose from.

These models offer different approaches to project management, ensuring we can accommodate a variety of requirements. Whether it’s optimizing costs, enabling seamless remote collaboration, or overseeing projects from start to finish, our execution models are structured to deliver the support our clients need. Below, we outline each model and its unique advantages.

Project-Based Model:

This model is ideal for clients who have clearly defined project scopes. It ensures fast turnaround times and is well-suited for short-term or specific tasks. SKETS acts as a virtual extension of the client’s design team, working closely to meet project deadlines efficiently.

Timesheet Model:

The Timesheet model is perfect for large-scale projects that require extensive work over longer durations. Billing is based on the actual time spent on tasks, making it a cost-effective option for projects with evolving needs. This model allows flexibility and is a popular choice for clients managing large scopes of work.

Dedicated Studio Model:

For clients looking for a long-term partnership, the Dedicated Studio model assigns an exclusive team to work as an extension of the client’s own design studio. In this model, SKETS allocate experts from within the company as dedicated resources for the clients. These experts are now directly aligned with the clients without any other intervention (some other client’s work). This approach ensures seamless collaboration and provides clients with their own studio within SKETS.

The Impact of SKETS' Execution Models

At SKETS, we recognize the diverse scopes, budgets, and timelines our clients bring. Our adaptable delivery models offer tailored options, empowering clients to navigate cost, time, and other critical factors with greater flexibility. This client-centered approach drives our high retention rate, as clients are able to choose models that precisely fit their needs, whether or not they have fully defined scopes. By offering timesheet-based options, we allow clients the freedom to award projects with confidence, even in early stages of planning.

Our dedication to delivery excellence and tailored solutions has cemented SKETS as a preferred partner for projects of all complexities. This adaptability not only strengthens client satisfaction but enhances our global reputation as an industry leader.
