Role Summary
Exp: 1+yrs
Location: East Delhi (Patparganj Industrial Area).
Software Required: AutoCAD
The AutoCAD Interior professional is responsible for preparing detailed interior working drawings, layout plans, technical details, and 2D documentation required for project execution. This role requires strong CAD drafting skills, a solid understanding of interior materials, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interior Working Drawings
- Prepare detailed interior drawings including:
- Floor plans
- RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plans)
- Electrical & lighting layouts
- Plumbing layouts (if required)
- Furniture layouts
- Wall elevations
- Sectional drawings
- Custom furniture and joinery details
- Develop execution-ready drawing packages for on-site implementation.
2. Technical Detailing
- Create joinery, cabinetry, wardrobe and custom furniture details.
- Prepare tile, marble, wooden flooring patterns, and wall treatment details.
- Ensure drawings follow material specifications and design intent.
3. CAD Software & Standards
- Produce drawings using AutoCAD (strong proficiency required).
- Maintain proper CAD standards: layers, dimensioning, text styles, scaling, and file management.
- Update drawings based on designer or client feedback.
- Incorporate onsite measurements and conditions into drawings (as-built documentation).
- Ensure all drawings meet project standards and industry practices.
- Conduct quality checks before submission.
- Maintain accurate revision of histories and drawing logs.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).
- Knowledge of interior materials, modular furniture, joinery details, and space planning.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural & MEP drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Basic understanding of 3D software (SketchUp/3Ds Max/Revit) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Drafting, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in interior working drawings (more for senior roles).
- Experience in residential, commercial, retail, or hospitality interiors is an advantage.
